Face Chaser Function
This allows it to instantly detect faces within the frame and automatically adjust the focus and exposure according to the detected faces The image processing LSI has a unique face-detection algorithm that was developed based on the facial images of more than 5,000 people. This allows it to instantly detect up to 12 faces within the frame and automatically adjust the focus and exposure according to the detected faces. It helps ensure that you capture your subjects’ faces sharply and beautifully.
Electronic Image Stabilizer for Stills
When still images are taken, the Xacti HD700’s image stabilizer uses a built-in gyro to accurately detect the direction and amount of camera shake. It then cancels out the blurred component of the captured image to create a sharp, well-defined picture.
Note: Using the electronic image stabilizer may change the angle of view.

High-Performance, 7.38-Megapixel CCD
The Xacti HD700 lets you take beautiful still images with vivid, true-to-life color and extraordinary detail With its 1/2.5-inch, 7.38-megapixel (total) CCD, the Xacti HD700 lets you take beautiful still images with vivid, true-to-life color and extraordinary detail. It can also shoot 5.3-megapixel (3072 x 1728) stills in the 16:9 aspect ratio.
Real-Time Interpolation for 10-Megapixel Recording
SANYO’s original algorithm uses a pixel-interpolation filter to convert the CCD’s 7.38 megapixels to the recorded equivalent of 10 megapixels (3680 x 2760 pixels). Not only does this filter let you produce fine-grained A3-sized printouts of detailed images, it also lets you enlarge part of an image without sacrificing image fidelity.

High-Sensitivity ISO 3200 Stills
With the Xacti HD700, you can shoot 7.1-megapixel still images at the equivalent of ISO 3200. This makes it easy to get great shots in low-light situations where blurring commonly occurs, such as in dimly lit rooms or outdoors at night.
